Primary Purpose: Responsible for assisting the Marketing and Digital Media Strategist with running audio/visual equipment as well as backstage work if needed. This position requires working on select nights and weekends, as scheduled.
Education/Certification:
- Current student of Waller ISD
- 16 yrs or older
- Clear and valid driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Skill in communicating quickly and efficiently during live production using a comm system.
- Skills in basic camera operation and setting manipulation
- Skills in live production management and troubleshooting
- Skills in basic windows based operating systems (A desktop computer or laptop)
- Skills in post production editing software
- Provide an exceptional customer experience that will ensure a positive experience for the client.
Experience:
- Current student in video production or broadcasting classes at Waller High School (must be an active/enrolled student at WHS).
- Experience required in live video production, camera operation, post production editing, and live production software.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Broadcasting (operating cameras, managing live feeds, managing live replays)
- Event Operations (soundboard, lighting, setup for events)
- Production (directing, editing, content creation)
Other
- Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Provide reliable transportation to and from events.
- Other job duties as assigned

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard camera equipment including comm systems, video switcher panels, tripods, replay panels. Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals
- Posture: Prolonged sitting, Prolonged walking, Prolonged standing
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse
- Lifting: Constant lifting and carrying of camera equipment while on field and up stairs.
- Environment: Work is primarily performed in the Waller ISD Daikin Stadium environment; Both on field and in the third floor pressbox. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; consistent mental focus
