Position Overview:
Walleye Capital is seeking a Front-End Web Developer Intern for Summer 2025. This role requires autonomy and will focus on improving the user interface and user experience of our internal tools, ensuring they are intuitive, responsive, and efficient. The person filling this role will work closely with the IT team to refine and optimize front-end components for critical applications.
The internship is on-premises in New York City. The internship is 10 weeks and will take place from June 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025, with working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).
Responsibilities:
- Enhance the UI/UX of internally built tooling interfaces to improve usability and efficiency.
- Work with front-end frameworks to implement responsive and interactive designs.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration with internal systems.
- Debug and optimize existing front-end components for performance and accessibility.
- Contribute to design discussions and bring fresh ideas to improve workflows.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field.
- Proficient in JavaScript libraries/frameworks including ReactJS, jQuery, Chart.js, Angular, Bootstrap.
- While this is primarily a front-end development role, some experience or skills working RDBMs like PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, MSSQL and scripting languages like PHP, bash, perl, and python is a plus.
Pay Range:
The expected monthly pay for this position is $5,000/month.
