Are you a dynamic nursing leader with a passion for patient care, regulatory excellence, and team development? Our state-of-the-art , high volume, Endoscopy Centers are seeking a Director of Nursing to lead and oversee clinical operations. This role offers the opportunity to drive quality improvement, enhance patient outcomes, expand knowledge of non-routine tasks, and standardize best practices while leading a team of skilled nurses, endoscopy technicians, and clinical staff in a fast-paced and patient-focused environment.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all nursing services within the ASC. Reporting to the Vice President of Nursing, the DON plays a critical leadership role by collaborating with the Medical Director, Anesthesia Providers, Operations Manager, and Business Manager to ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
As a key leader in clinical operations, compliance, and staff development, the DON will align nursing services with VPN directives, focusing on patient safety, staff mentorship, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy – Oversee nursing services, aligning clinical goals with VPN initiatives.
- Quality & Compliance – Preparation for and adherence to AAAHC, CMS, and OSHA standards.
- Team Management – Lead and mentor nurses, techs, and clinical staff, ensuring high performance.
- Patient Safety & Performance Improvement – Direct QAPI programs, infection control, safety, and best practices.
- Operational Efficiency – Collaborate with Medical Director, Anesthesia, and Business Teams to optimize workflows and patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- RN License (State of Connecticut)
- BSN required. MSN, MHA, or equivalent preferred
- 5 years of nursing leadership experience in an ASC or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and staff development
- Proven leadership in patient safety, performance improvement, and strategic planning
