Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Camp Counselor to join our team for an enriching summer experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to fostering a safe and fun camp environment. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in guiding campers through various activities while promoting personal growth, teamwork, and respect for others.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, sports, theater, and educational programs.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all campers, including those with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a cohesive camp experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the camp facilities and equipment.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills in childhood development and childcare practices.
We offer several different camp options for different ages and schedules.
Camp for kids ages 3-6: Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 1:30pm
Camp for kids ages 6-11: Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 3:00pm
Camp for kids ages 12-15: Hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:15am - 3:00pm (This camp consists of going on field trips each day with occasional trips returning after 3:00pm).
