POSITION VACANCY

Bus Driver/Substitute Bus Driver

Wallingford-Swarthmore School District believes in all students. We understand that all students can

selves. In this role, we are seeking individuals who share the belief that all students can succeed and

that all students deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

Bus Drivers are often the first and last school-based adult students encounter each day. It is important

that these individuals understand and honor the safety which is critical to the role as well as posess a

personality which makes students and famillies feel welcome and safe on the bus.

The substitute role is open to those wishing to take on a substitute role. It is also the gateway to a

permanent driver's position within the district.

Responsibilities:

Transport students as assigned, as needed

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid PA Driver’s License required

Must possess or be willing to obtain a Class B-CDL license with School Bus and Passenger endorsements (Training will be provided)

Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues

District retains the right to screen, interview, and hire prior to the end of the posting date.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.62 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
