What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver/Substitute Bus Driver position at Wallingford-Swarthmore?
Wallingford-Swarthmore School District believes in all students. Bus Drivers are often the first and last school-based adult students encounter each day. It is important that these individuals understand and honor the safety which is critical to the role as well as posess a personality which makes students and famillies feel welcome and safe on the bus.
The substitute role is open to those wishing to take on a substitute role. It is also the gateway to a permanent driver's position within the district.
Responsibilities:
- Transport students as assigned, as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid PA Driver’s License required
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a Class B-CDL license with School Bus and Passenger endorsements (Training will be provided)
- Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues
District retains the right to screen, interview, and hire prior to the end of the posting date.
