General Summary
The Configuration Analyst plays a key role in supporting our product configuration processes, working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and optimal customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Configuration Knowledge: Gain a basic understanding of how product configurations, pricing logic, and quote processes function in a business context.
- Technical Skills Development: Develop and enhance technical proficiency, including exposure to basic scripting or programming concepts (e.g., JavaScript, VBScript) and familiarity with databases or data structures.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Translate business rules into configuration logic, using strong attention to detail. Learn troubleshooting techniques for Infor CPQ-related issues.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Marketing, and IT to gather requirements and communicate progress.
- Adaptability & Initiative: Stay proactive and self-motivated in acquiring new skills through online training, documentation review, and hands-on practice in test environments. Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, evolving product catalogs, and new feature requests.
Qualifications and Skills
- An Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant coursework or internship experience demonstrating problem-solving and technical skills is a plus.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and concepts.
- Prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or related fields is beneficial.
- Exposure to Infor CPQ or similar configuration tools is a plus but not required.
- Fundamental Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of computer science fundamentals preferred, with a strong sense of logic.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to understand business logic and break it down into actionable configuration steps.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Aptitude: Ability to identify problems and apply logical thinking to find solutions.
- Customer Service Mindset: Strong focus on delivering excellent service while working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Self-Motivation & Initiative: Ability to work independently, with the drive to continuously improve and meet deadlines.
Work Environment
- Position may work a combination of sitting at a desk and working throughout the campus as the needs arise.
- Work will require frequent problem solving and troubleshooting that can be affected by frequent distractions and interruptions, such as people, telephone calls, etc.
- Typical shift will be Monday – Thursday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (subject to change at the discretion of the Company). Extended/Saturday hours may be required.
