What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wallwork Truck Center Assistant Service Advisor - Weekends Only position at Wallwork/Valley Imports?
Under general direction of the Service Manager and Service Advisor, the Assistant Service Advisor will be responsible for the orderly and efficient operation of the shop. Responsibility of the shop to ensure all equipment repairs are completed in a safe, cost effective, and timely manner. This position will also assist technicians with problem solving, repairs, and diagnostics. This position will work every Saturday-Sunday from 7am-7pm, $25.00/hr.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years’ experience required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Minimum of one-year mechanical experience required
- Valid Class D driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information and relay to others.
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills required.
- Ability to work well with deadlines and multitasking
- Basic Computer Skills
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):
- Some supervisory responsibilities required with this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Assisting Service Advisor and Service Manager with daily tasks within the shop.
- Work with the Service Advisor in managing the Technicians and the scheduling of repairs to maximize work efficiency and quality of work performed.
- Check and review work in process and follow-up for completion as scheduled and exceeds the customer’s expectations.
- Assist Technicians in any maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Inspect and, if necessary, road test vehicles upon completion of work to ensure quality of repairs performed.
- Ensures that work areas are clean, and that equipment, tools and supplies are properly stored.
- Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
- Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.
- Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
