Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and design. This role involves door to door sales, working closely with clients to ensure their landscaping needs are met while promoting our services through exceptional customer service and business development initiatives.
Duties
- Understand the company background, services provided, and quoting process to be able to thoroughly explain the reason you are at their door and answer any questions the prospective customer may have.
- Follow the training script to ensure all information is delivered and gathered.
- Identify neighborhoods/areas to generate leads for potential landscape maintenance or designs.
- Generate leads by going out into these identified areas by knocking on doors/walking into businesses to talk potential customers and present a brief presentation of a pamphlet.
- Have an indepth understanding of the pamphlet that you will be presenting.
- Leave a door hanger if no one is available to speak with.
- Gather contact information, specific details of what it is they would be looking to have done and set a follow up appointment for a supervisor to begin developing an estimate.
- Have an understanding of the current schedule to be able to provide an accurate timeline of when we would be available to do work.
- Maintain professionalism, respect, and gratitude for any time afforded to yourself to represent Wally’s Landscape Co. to the highest standard.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related field is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to analyze client requirements effectively.
- Experience in business development, particularly in B2B environments, is a plus.
- Familiarity with territory sales and technical sales concepts is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
