POSITION SUMMARY:

Create, maintain, and establish a warm welcoming environment for all guests who enter our units. Communicates with management, runners, expo, wine specialists and servers all pertinent guest information.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets and welcomes all guests into the building.
• Ability to manage a waitlist including accurately estimating wait times and effectively managing seating pace for optimal guest experience.
• Seat guests promptly and in an appropriate manner.
• Facilitates shift planning when Maitre’d is not present including setting up reservations, server rotations, and handling VIP clients.
• Walks guests to our retail and cheesebox areas when guest is inquiring about retail department.
• Openly communicates with servers to inform table needs.
• Assists with table maintenance when necessary.
• Quality checks tables throughout their dining experience.
• Handles all Togo orders including over the phone, in person and delivery services.
• Basic menu knowledge of all food menus including charcuterie.
• Answers the phones and assists guests with all inquiries or transfers call to appropriate party.
• Maintains a pristine front door environment.
• Quality checks all guests leaving the building.
• Handles guest complaints and escalates to management when necessary.
• Process payments including card and cash.
• Enforces restaurant policies including reservations, dress code, incomplete parties, etc.
• Bathroom maintenance.
• You may be called upon from time to time to perform other duties that may not be included in your job description at the management’s discretion.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

EXPERIENCE:

• Three or more months’ experience in a similar position.
• Basic POS knowledge.
• Basic level understanding of restaurant operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Team-oriented.

PHYSICAL:

• May require periods of prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping or stretching.
• Eye hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Normal range of hearing and eyesight.
• Ability to lift 25lbs.
• Position requires candidates to work under stressful conditions and is subject to irregular hours.
