What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor/ Floor Manager/Bar Lead position at Wallys Wine and Spirits Las Vegas?
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Opening and closing of the restaurant.
- Manage daily operations during shifts, ensuring efficient service and adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Supervise, train, and motivate front of house staff.
- Give constructive criticism to serving staff on areas of opportunities in sequence of service.
- Greeting and interacting with guests.
- Assisting in conflict resolution to ensure all guests leave wanting to come back and experience Wally’s Way of Hospitality again.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and overall restaurant cleanliness.
- Assist in inventory control, letting general manager know when we are running low on supplies to prevent shortages.
- Phasing of the front of house staff to assist in labor cost and control.
- Assist with hiring, training, development, and scheduling of all Front of House service staff and their departmental tasks.
- Works closely with all of management to ensure someone is always available to the guests.
- Strategically set up a floor plan to run optimal labor while still ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Communication with chefs on duty for 86’d items, feedback from guests on food items and overall assistance the kitchen may need in relaying messages to serving staff.
- Running and setting up of pre-shift.
- Cash handling.
- End of day shift reports.
- Produce guests receipts and issue refunds when needed.
- Has thorough knowledge of all Front of House positions including host, server, busser, runner, bartender and barback so they can step in when needed during service.
- Communicates with cheese mongers for 86’d items, feedback from guests and overall general communication needed.
- Closing of retail systems properly at the end of the day.
- Ability to assist guests in retail, including finding products, running transactions, etc.
- You may be called upon from time to time to perform other duties that may not be included in your
job description at the management’s discretion.
Skills:
- Bilingual (fluency in English and another language preferred)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Proven experience in managing a retail sales team
- Excellent math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets
- Knowledge of store management principles and practices
