Senior Director, Apparel Design - Women's Fashion
Position Summary...
As a Senior Director, Apparel Design, you will lead a Women's Fashion private brand and initiatives that are aligned with the Walmart Apparel Strategic Business Unit (SBU) merchandising goals.
Portfolio Required. This role is onsite in our New York City office.

What you'll do...
You will assure that Walmart’s private brand DNA / guidelines, trends, aesthetic / style, quality and value all support the customer’s needs and lead the market. You’ll help ensure merchant leadership is aligned with the brands and assortment; and manage the P&L and annual budget for the portfolio brands.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if :
- You enjoy building and developing private brand strategy and execution, supporting long term business plans and executing prioritized strategic programs.
- You understand and know how to build a winning brand aesthetic and DNA / guardrails.
- You are data savvy : you can analyze competition, customer behavior, industry trends, and the macro environment.
- You are omni channel customer-focused : You make customer-centric recommendations and decisions across all customer touchpoints.
- You are tenacious, dedicated and thrive working with ownership, autonomy, and a healthy dose of competition.

Minimum Qualifications...
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, or related field and 6 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area.
6 years’ experience with cross-functional project management.
Preferred Qualifications...
Corporate leadership experience in an Apparel Retail environment, Corporate leadership experience in Business Administration, Merchandising, Sourcing, or relevant field, Masters degree in Liberal Arts or relevant field, Online Retail specializing in Apparel.
