We are looking for hard-working, organized individuals with a passion for event management to join the Outlyr Internship Program, supporting the preparation execution of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G and ancillary community events, held in Rogers, AR September 15 – 21, 2025. These individuals must be available to work full-time in Rogers, AR.
The #NWAChampionship is the premier professional sporting event in the NW Arkansas area with a focus on making the region a better place to live and work. Over the past 19 years, the tournament has grown into so much more than a sporting event, now offering events activities for the entire community to enjoy. The event interns will support the day-to-day preparations of ancillary community events and tournament operations.
These positions offer a unique opportunity to gain real-world event management experience, including partner communication, onsite logistics, marketing skills and event planning tactics. The right candidates will be able to work collaboratively with our team and will need polished communication skills to engage with community stakeholders, clients, vendors and volunteers. Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and a commitment to “Every Experience Matters” are required for these positions.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
· You have a passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
· Self-starter with “can-do” attitude
· Experience in a related field preferred
· Must be available to work full time in Rogers, AR office
· Strong communication skills, both written and oral
· Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems independently
· Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet
· Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
· Interest in sports and event marketing as a career
· Willingness to work weekends and nonstandard hours particularly during tournament week
· Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

MARKETING INTERN | JULY 7 - SEPTEMBER 30, 2025
- Updating and maintaining ticket database and sending out weekly status reports
- Assist with planning & executing social media plan leading up to event and throughout Tournament Week
- Assist with ideation and creation of various marketing materials alongside in-house creative team
- Assist with the execution of community grassroots marketing initiatives
- Supporting management of email newsletter database and communication plan
- Managing tournament website updates as needed
- Respond to general event inquiries (dates, event schedule, ticket prices, etc.)
- Assist with implementation of P&G sponsor programs & activations, such as onsite Kids Center and in-school STEAM programming
- Support with planning, set-up, and tear-down of Pro-Am Party as needed
- Administrative tasks such as travel logistics and inventory of merchandise
- Carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision, including coordinating and implementing projects
- Other related duties projects as reasonably assigned
SPECIAL EVENTS INTERN | AUGUST 4 - SEPTEMBER 30, 2025
- Work closely with event staff to plan and execute ancillary community events such as golf outings, fitness events, and culinary experiences
- Assist with implementation of sponsor programs & onsite activations, from ordering promos to managing storage & delivery plans
- Support with planning, set-up, and tear-down of event initiatives including hospitality program, Pro-Am, 5k @ the LPGA, and yoga events as needed
- Fulfillment delivery of ticketing packages for event sponsors
- Support special projects and documentation related to onsite sustainability plan
- Carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision, including coordinating and implementing projects
- Other related duties projects as reasonably assigned
