The Walmart Tax Department is looking for a Director to join our Tax Technology and Data Team.

ABOUT THE TEAM:
Our Tax Technology and Data (TTD) team works across the Tax Department to leverage automation, technology tools and environments, and data models in a cross-functional, product-driven model. The Director role will lead and be the key point of contact for the Direct Income Tax business products as part of these efforts. This includes working closely across the broader TTD team and Technology department at Walmart in order to act as a key point of contact for the Direct Income Tax function in the Tax Department.
ABOUT THE POSITION - INTRODUCTION
The Director of Tax Technology and Data will play a critical role in continuing the multi-year journey to centralize and modernize our Income Tax systems and data models at the scale of the Fortune 1. You will be expected to understand the Tax functional needs and work closely within TTD and Technology to deliver business products that enable increased automation and insights to our Tax subject matter experts.

- Possess a strong blend of Tax technical and technology knowledge and experience to build solution consensus among Tax subject matter experts and engineering teams
- You have 8 years of experience in Tax and Technology, including implementing software solutions and working in a product environment requiring integration
- You have an MBA or Master's in Accountancy, Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, or Data Science
- You have 5 years in a leadership position
- You possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- You're knowledgeable about SAP or similar ERP systems
You'll make an impact by:
- Collaborating across multiple teams and functions to gather Tax and other stakeholder requirements in order to develop user stories, test cases, and business impact
- Leveraging your ability to issue spot and provide guidance to broader TTD and Technology teams in order to resolve production issues, impact analysis, and root cause identification
- Establishing and enforcing KPI's to measure team effectiveness and business responsiveness
- Driving a future vision that encompasses the traits of constant improvement and accounts for change management, changes in technology, company initiatives, and tax regulatory changes
- Developing and training the team to grow in their careers
