What you'll do...
The Walmart Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is a 24/7 global crisis monitoring and reporting center that intakes critical incidents including threats related to criminal activities, geo-political crises, weather-related emergencies, and natural disasters affecting our associates across the global enterprise in support of protecting people, property, and our brand.
The Manager I, Security - Crisis Manager is a professional entry level management position within the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) team that reports to the EOC Senior Manager. The Manager I, Security – Crisis Manager will answer crisis related calls from our stores and clubs and will coordinate appropriate actions per policy and procedures. The Manager I, Security – Crisis Manager will monitor external media and proprietary data systems for indications and warnings of crisis related events. The Manager I, Security – Crisis Manager will intake and report crisis related events to our stores, distribution centers, and home office partners.
You will make an impact by:
- Managing crisis events by rooting out variables involved and advising on decisions based upon these variables; activating and coordinating crisis responders from various disciplines from across the company based upon the needs of the situation; leveraging partners to bring the proper resources, assets, and services to ensure resolution of the crisis event; ensuring proper event communication updates to the appropriate stakeholders and leadership based on the event
- Leveraging technology and communications platforms to capture event information and coordinate the event; closing out events in internal systems when appropriate; and conducting and coordinating post-event analysis for continuous improvement
- Developing relationships to prepare for and respond to emergency situations by identifying and maintaining collaborative partnerships with internal and external organizations
- Providing guidance to internal business partners on emergency preparedness and response processes and procedures that enable the business to minimize disruptions
- Mitigating risks to company assets by evaluating requirements, constraints, assumptions, risk management options, and variables for businesses; conducting cost benefit analysis; and supporting implementation of value-based security and protective programs that are consistent with industry security standards and company policies
You’ll sweep us off our feet if…
- You have experience in intelligence, corporate security, law enforcement, or related field
- You have experience using a business intelligence tools (i.e. Oracle, Service Now, Power BI) to create reports
- You have strong communication, data entry, writing, and customer service experience to include telephone/call center expertise
- You have experience using descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis, or univariate analyses.
- Proficient/fluent in French (preferred)
