A brief job description is as follows but not limited to:
Opening
1) Open Safe
2) Get money from safe and put in register
3) Get clean rags daily
4) Put bags on carousel
5) Wash Windows
6) Unlock Doors
Running Register
1) Smile and Greet Customers
2) Scan Groceries
3) Listen to the customer
4) Learn how to run a WIC and EBT transaction
5) Say “Please”, “Thank You”, and “Have and nice day”.
6) Bring in carts from outside (in all weather conditions)
7) Help each other by bagging groceries when not busy
8) Put items back on shelves when customer doesn’t want it
9) Buy Change
Closing
1) Remain at register until all customers have left
2) Put out the Closed sign
3) Lock Doors
4) Run a Report from your register
5) Count your till (drawer) at the end of the day
6) Turn off lights
7) Bring in carts
Job Requirements
1) During slow times: a) Must be willing to spring clean (b) Straighten Shelves (c) Clean Register area
2) Know how to give change and count money
3) Must be willing to work weekends and evenings and Holidays.
Physical Requirements
Lifting (up to 50#), standing, bending, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, talking
