A brief job description is as follows but not limited to:
- Pick up and take home employees according to the employee transportation schedules for WC & Berlin Walnut Creek Cheese and WCF Manufacturing as assigned by the Lead Driver and/or Safety & Employee Transportation Manager.
- Complete retail deliveries and product pickups as needed.
- Empty warehouse trash and cardboard bins to the appropriate compactors, if time allows remove cardboard and trash from other store departments as needed.
- Refuel company vehicles – refill as needed and leave any used vans on scheduled work day with at least ¾ full before leaving for the day.
- Maintain van cleanliness – van interior and exterior cleanings completed on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles and immediately alerting the Safety & Employee Transportation Manager and/or Lead Driver of accidents or anything that may be considered a concern of safety, employee rides, retail deliveries, product pickups or van related issues.
- Fill egg/dairy coolers and remove empty milk crates as needed.
- Evaluations take place on a yearly basis. The safety and well-being of employees being transported to and from WCC stores & manufacturing is the foremost responsibility of this position.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a good MVR to hold this position.
- Must be willing and able to safely use the following equipment:
- Pallet jack (training will be given for license to use electric powered equipment if desired)
- Requires some Saturdays.
- This position is hired as full or part-time depending on company needs, this is subject to change during employment.
- Notify manager as soon as possible of any changes that need to be made related to hours scheduled.
