Walpole Public Schools is seeking an ELE Summer Learning Program Teacher (K-8).
Description:
The English Language Education (ELE) Summer Learning Program Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and providing instruction to facilitate English language development for current Multilingual Learners (ML) in grades K - 8. Lesson plans will include language objectives based on the Massuchusetts English Language Arts Standards and the WIDA Framework and incorporate content objectives based on standards from the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks in English Language Arts, History and Social Science, Mathematics, and Science and Technology/Engineering.
The program will be held at Fisher Elementary School.
Dates:
June 23th - June 26th
June 30th - July 2nd
July 7th - July 10th
8:30am-12:30pm
Compensation:
$30 per hour plus an additional hour per day paid prep
Qualifications:
Applicants should be SEI endorsed and familiar with culturally responsive pedagogy, a variety of assessment strategies, and sheltering techniques that will provide student access to grade-level content and the development of English language proficiency. ESL-licensed teacher preferred.
