Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Field Operations Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate understanding and execution.
- Prepare comprehensive bid estimates and proposals in alignment with project requirements.
- Maintain and update an organized database of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Solicit quotes, evaluate proposals, and negotiate terms for purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to secure approvals for selected goods and services.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and field teams to ensure timely delivery, material availability, and overall performance quality.
- Collaborate with field personnel to review and adjust project schedules as needed.
- Provide support across all phases of construction project management to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field; relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Proven experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of project workflows and field operations.
- Solid knowledge of cost estimation principles and experience with estimation software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and/or Bluebeam.
- Preferred experience with estimating software (e.g., Estimating Link) and project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera).
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively evaluate and secure vendor and subcontractor agreements.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
