Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor inventory stock levels regularly, perform cycle counts, and ensure accurate tracking of materials across the warehouse and shop floor through the inventory management system.
• Place purchase orders aligned with demand forecasts and current inventory levels, and follow up with vendors to confirm delivery timelines.
• Verify incoming shipments daily by cross-referencing purchase orders and routing details, ensuring accurate inventory reconciliation within internal systems.
• Ensure inventory is stored correctly and efficiently in designated areas while keeping the system updated with any changes in storage locations.
• Oversee picking, packing, and shipping processes to confirm accuracy and maintain up-to-date inventory records that reflect real-time availability.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and work with management to implement preventive procedures that reduce losses.
• Maintain clean and accurate inventory records while generating regular reports and insights to support process improvements and decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred; alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with inventory control in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when recording and verifying inventory data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with inventory management systems and basic data analysis tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage stock levels and warehouse space efficiently.
• Effective communicator capable of working collaboratively with purchasing, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
• Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push or pull up to 150 pounds using carts or pallet jacks.
• Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods (8–10 hours).
• Capable of performing repetitive movements, including reaching, bending, and stooping, as required in a manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
