Role Overview
The Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) will serve as a trusted financial planning expert within the client relationship and ongoing service team.
This is not a sales role—it focuses on relationship management, financial planning, and ongoing client service.
The CFP® will work with existing clients, conduct financial reviews, and ensure their financial plans align with their evolving goals.
This position is ideal for an experienced planner who excels at client retention, financial plan execution, and long-term wealth management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management & Ongoing Service
- Serve as a trusted planner for existing clients, offering guidance on retirement and wealth management strategies.
- Conduct regular client reviews to ensure financial plans align with clients' evolving goals.
- Address client concerns proactively and make adjustments as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for service needs and financial guidance.
Financial Planning & Portfolio Management
- Develop, review, and refine comprehensive financial plans tailored to individual retirement goals.
- Collaborate with investment and planning teams to optimize managed money and annuity strategies.
- Educate clients on investment options, risk management, and income strategies.
Collaboration with Advisory Team
- Work closely with financial advisors, paraplanners, and operations staff to ensure seamless client service.
- Stay current on market trends, tax planning, estate planning, and retirement strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.
- Series 65 License (or equivalent SEC-qualifying designation).
- Life & Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain).
- 3 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or retirement planning.
- Expertise in managed money and annuities, with familiarity with FIAs preferred.
Preferred:
- Experience in an RIA or independent financial advisory firm.
- Knowledge of retirement income strategies, tax-efficient withdrawals, and estate planning.
- Experience with CRM systems and financial planning software.
