Estimating Assistant

We are searching for our next Estimating Assistant. This position assists the Chief Estimator and Estimating Department in the execution of Conceptual, Pre-Lim, and Final Estimates.

A portion of the position responsibilities include:

• Set up bid systems for new and returning projects.
• Manage and update bid solicitation database.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist with the pricing and bidding of construction projects.
• Solicit and develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in developing accurate, detailed and complete conceptual, preliminary, and contract estimates.
• Assist in the tracking and documenting of historical data for future estimating processes.
• Train under the guidance of the Chief Estimator and other department personnel to expand role and responsibilities in the future.

  You are qualified if:

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• You have some basic construction knowledge and a strong desire to learn.
• You have adequate knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• You have the ability to read and interpret plan drawings/blueprints.
• You are highly organized, detail oriented, and accurate.
• You are self-motivated and able to manage your time effectively.
• You have excellent communication and people skills.
• You are a positive team player.

Salary range $70,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience.
