Our client is a food broker specializing in bridging the gap between the unique requirements of airline food & beverage programs and the manufacturers who can supply those products. We are now looking for a talented, dedicated, and ambitious Sales Assistant to support two leaders within the business and contribute to the exciting world of airline food and beverages.

Sales Assistant

Dallas, TX office based with occasional travel

75-85K plus bonus and excellent benefits package

To be successful in this role :

  • You will be a confident Sales Assistant with a minimum of 3 years in a professional environment and a Bachelor’s Degree or experience equivalent.
  • You will be highly proficient in Excel and have solid analytical skills as you will process a lot of data and assist sales leaders in the presentation of this to various airlines.
  • You will also have experience with PowerPoint and the ability to translate selling concepts into meaningful story telling with appropriate analytics being conveyed.

Other requirements for this role include :

  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and be a self-starter
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must live in the greater Dallas area
  • Must possess a strong level of curiosity and aptitude toward learning new tasks
  • Quickly develop a working knowledge of Business Partners and product portfolios to be able to assist with background research to answer airline customer bids
  • Quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of internal reporting system to handle new principal / customer, product set-ups, commission rates, and price changes as needed
  • Professionally interact with Business Partners and Distributors as assigned
  • Develop creative and content materials for monthly eNews and other presentations
  • Interact with other Sales team members on specific assignments and Customer Service teams as needed
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to occasionally travel
  • Position summary :

We are seeking a well-spoken and articulate Sales Assistant who possesses excellent people skills and is comfortable supporting the top two sales leaders in the company.     Job role and responsibilities :

    As a Sales Assistant, you will work directly with two sales leaders supporting business with companies including Coca Cola, Frito Lay, Peppered Farms, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and American Airlines. You will support account management, renewing long sales cycle contracts with terms of up to 5 years, and responding to RFP’s for beverages.

    Other responsibilities for this role include :

  • Excel report creation and weekly updates to supplier pivot tables
  • Sales analysis and forecasting
  • PowerPoint decks for sales presentations to airline customers and marketing presentations to principals
  • Support completing customer bids
  • Monthly sales and activity reporting to the Company owner
  • Creation of a monthly e-newsletter to customers
  • Overall responsibility for all tasks associated with the annual trade show including managing key contact lists and customer invites, booth graphics and maintenance of all booth materials
  • Manage on-going updates to the airline industry overview deck presented to principals, including charts and graphs
  • Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
