Our client is an AWS Premier Partner that empowers fast-paced startups to grow, deliver, and win with strategic, hands-on cloud DevOps and FinOps services. The business has a presence across more than seven countries in EMEA and is now excited to embark on its first steps into the US. Through tailored solutions, the business has enabled hundreds of startups to leverage AWS more effectively, accelerating time to market while optimizing cloud performance and cost efficiency. We are now looking for a pioneering Sales Director to be take charge of building sales and business development activities from the ground up, and to drive presence into the US market.
Sales Director
New York City, remote initially moving to hybrid
$300-400k OTE
To be successful in this role:
You will be a confident Sales Director, with 5 years of experience in leading direct Cloud sales, business development, and accounts executives with a proven, successful track record of generating revenue and closing business as a strong sales hunter.
You will start as an Individual contributor sales hunter and later will hire and manage a sales team so you must be experienced within a start up environment.
Other requirements for this role include:
- 2 years of experience in managing a sales team
- Experience in a B2B sales environment, including sales organizational structures, indirect channels, sales systems, and industry data used in developing go-to-market strategies
- Experience of working within a start up environment
- Network and relationships with local startup companies
- In-depth experience with selling AWS services
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English
- AWS cloud certificated
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Working experience with Salesforce or HubSpot would be an advantage but is not essential
- Experience of working with AWS partners would be beneficial
