Walsh Gallegos Kyle Robinson & Roalson P.C. is a law firm devoted to supporting public education and other governmental entities. We have been working in partnership with leaders in public education and other governmental entities since 1983 and strive to make a difference in the boardroom, the courtroom, and the classroom. We have an excellent career opportunity for a Paralegal in our San Antonio office to support 3 attorneys that serve clients throughout New Mexico and Texas in our Litigation Department.
The Paralegal position supports attorneys in managing daily administrative tasks, including:
- Calendaring and scheduling
- File management, including document collection, organization, preservation and trial preparation
- Drafting, editing, and formatting correspondence, pleadings, motions and briefs, and litigation status reports
- Verbal and written communication with clients, coworkers and internal firm departments
Critical skills include:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent attention to detail, proofing and editing skills
- Excellent work ethic and a teamwork mindset
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and proactively manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to absorb information quickly and adapt to change
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a calm, professional demeanor
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in a professional work environment with extensive experience with Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
- Experience with Nitro or similar PDF software is a plus
- Experience with education, contracts, administrative hearings, litigation processes and insurance defense dockets is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
