What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-Term Substitute - Chemistry Teacher position at Walsh Jesuit High School?
Walsh Jesuit High School seeks a long-term substitute teacher to join its Science Department teaching AP Chemistry from March 10, 2025 through mid-April, to cover a leave of absence. The selected candidate will teach three sections of AP Chemistry with the accompanying labs, along with scheduled duty periods. Classes meet daily; labs meet two or three times per week.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or post-graduate work in chemistry or a related field, a valid Ohio teaching license, and will embrace and display Catholic/Christian values and spiritual life. A solid working knowledge of technology in curriculum design and classroom presentation is required. Experience in a Catholic learning environment and/or prior high school teaching experience is preferred.
