What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Walsh's Ace Hardware?
Walsh's Ace Hardware/Ace of Lacrosse is a family owned business dedicated to being a valuable member of the communities we serve. Our goal is to AMAZE every customer, every time with our service, selection, convenience and quality.
We are looking for energetic and helpful folks to allow us to continue toward our goal. As our Business to Business (B2B) Delivery Driver you will be responsible for taking care of our existing accounts while developing new accounts to grow our overall B2B business. Time will be spent both outside the store conducting sales and working the sales floor for the in-house customers. The B2B staff maintains outstanding customer relations while growing our base. The B2B staff is the outside representation to our customers.
We are proud to be Pinnacle Stores with Ace, which puts us in the top 10% of the over 5,000 Ace stores! We have been operating for over 100 years, since 1913 and intend on continuing to remember what got us here and continue to serve our communities as we have to date.
Able to lift 80 lbs occasionally.
Have good driving record that passes the MVR inspection.
Be neat and clean in appearance.
Be able to multi task and change as needs dictate.
Be able to work outside or inside in differing weather conditions.
Be able to become OSHA forklift certified.
Work in a team environment.
Work as an individual when delivering.
Become self directed while handling routes.
Manage time effectively in order to make all deliveries on time, in time.
The delivery driver will need to work as our liaison with our customers, outside the store walls. There are times s/he will add on sales and times where s/he will deliver and take orders. Additional duties are assigned as the work load dictates.
