The Associate Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of Global Costuming, Talent Casting, Cosmetology, Character Program and Development initiatives, including the concurrent management of projects with multi-year durations and budgets ranging from small to many millions. The types of projects include, but are not limited to, developing new business applications and system integrations, identifying and evaluating new business models, driving globalization and new business opportunities, and process improvement for our end-to-end supply chain.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Resource Planning and Integration
This is a Full-Time role.
What You Will Do
- Establishes project scopes, detailed business requirements, timelines, budgets and cash flows
- Serves as the primary liaison between multiple teams, including Costuming (domestic and international sites), Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Technology & Digital, and external vendors
- Right-sizes project management methodology and tools to the individual needs of each project
- Assesses project risks and formulate mitigation plans
- Fosters relationships with business partners in our theme parks and resorts worldwide to influence and drive projects and best practice sharing across sites
- Provides briefings and status reports to executives, leaders and team members on a regular basis, identifying key milestones and critical path elements
- Ensures proper project closure including retrospectives/lessons learned, documentation for all processes and systems, and final financial reporting
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure hiring communications, job postings, and workforce updates are clear, timely, and strategically aligned.
- Pull, analyze, and present workforce reports related to internal assignment end dates, staffing needs, and key workforce trends.
- Manage and update Workday supervisory organizations to maintain accurate workforce structures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years’ experience working on project teams
- Experience working with Theme Parks & Resorts, Cruise Line and Costuming operations
- Experience in negotiating and influencing that result in win/win agreements and outcomes
- Experience communication (verbal and written) with all levels of stakeholder
- Experience analyzing data and scenarios to find solutions that best meet the needs of the collective team
- Experience facilitating project meeting and workshops to develop commitments, accountabilities and deliverables
- Experience using project management tools (i.e. Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, MS Project, etc.)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a project management field or equivalent work experience
