The Associate Visual Effects Designer will work under project leadership on the design, production, and delivery of digital media content for Disney theme parks, events, and shows worldwide.
This is a casual temporary/seasonal role, and you will report to the Visual Media Studio Manager.
What You Will Do
Create visual media through the use of 3D and/or 2D toolsets such as Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, Maya, and Unreal Engine
Assist the editorial process with motion graphic enhancements
Execute rendering and quality control of show files using department render facilities
Collaborate and interact with the overall project team, department staff, and members of other Live Entertainment disciplines
Address requirements of the media to be created and provide input
Work under the guidance of producer and project leaders
Develop and create assets for digital media production
Partner with outside resources and/or vendors
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience in Visual Effects and motion graphics design
Strong knowledge and proficiency in one or more of the following software: Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe After Effects, Photoshop) Cinema 4D, Maya, and Unreal Engine
Visual Effects design and animation experience
Design experience in 2D graphics and illustration and/or 3D Modeling
Experience with digital compositing, digital media formats, codecs, keying, roto work, and resolutions
Proficiencies in creating assets for the editorial processes
Ability to work with a team to develop concepts and design elements
Portfolio of work and proven abilities to create quality product
Willingness for occasional travel to domestic and foreign venues for possible extended periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
Theme Park experience and working knowledge/passion for live event content
Content creation for entertainment media shows, events, and projection mapping
Experience in 3D modeling applications like Maya
Exposure to or Experience Building environments and content in Unreal Engine
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience desired
