As a Creative Concept Artist & Illustrator, you will collaborate on live entertainment concepts with the art of visual storytelling via Illustration, fine art, and graphic design.
This is a casual temporary / seasonal role and will report to the Principal Art DirectorWhat You Will DoDemonstrate excellent visual storytelling skills using several visual methods - quick sketch, storyboards, mood boards, environments, character sketches, full illustration, and fine art digital paintingWork independently on assigned projects requiring minimal directionCollaborate and interact with internal partners such as Art Directors, Show Directors, Walt Disney Imagineering, and MarketingSupport design efforts for non-entertainment partners from different lines of business across The Walt Disney CompanyBuild and develop relationships with clients, vendors, and other supporting departmentsWork on all levels of projects from intimate to spectacular in scaleGive feedback on the labor required to complete a projectRequired Qualifications & Skills3 years of experience working in a design, fine arts, or animation fieldOutstanding ability and skill in hand drawing and sketchingExcellent command of a variety of art styles, from line art to full illustrationStrong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)Outstanding knowledge of Disney characters, ensuring that all character artwork is on-model and brand-appropriateProven dedication to staying current with industry trendsWillingness to work flexible hours - nights, weekends, holidaysPreferred QualificationsModeling experience in 3D design toolsProven experience in animation and character designProficiency in other languages is a plusEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentAdditional InformationBenefits and Perks : We offer a rewards package to help you live your best life.
