The Visual Effects Design Intern will design, produce, and install digital video media content for Disney theme parks, resorts and attractions worldwide. The intern will support artists workflows and write tools/plugins.
The approximate dates of this internship is May/June 2025 to January 2026 and will be located in Glendale, CA.
What You Will Do
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Digital Media, Computer Science or related field

What You Will Do
- Build and improve visual media through use of 2D and 3D toolsets such as Adobe After Effects, Maya, Unreal, Nuke, Houdini.
- Support Artist workflows through scripting and tool writing.
- Help to ingest files from various vendors.
- Learn Disney production techniques and workflow from staff level designers and above.
- Assist in the editorial process.
- Provide rendering and quality control of show files using department render facilities.
- Proficiency in Maya, Nuke, Adobe Creative Suite 3 or above.
- Working knowledge of various software including, Unreal, Houdini, Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Premier.
- Experience with film and video editing, digital compositing, color correction, and digital media formats and compression.
- Design experiences in 2D graphics.
- Knowledge of various post-production formats in both film and video post-production process
- Ability to script and write software for new tools (Scripting in Python)
- Experience with media servers and projection mapping (e.g. Dataton Watchout)

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA
Salary : $27 - $28
