Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
This role is Part Time and requires full availability for any shift, three (3) days per week, including nights and holidays. Part Time Cast Members must have 2 weeks of full availability for training.

Responsibilities :
- We respond to incidents, assist Guests and Cast Members during safety & emergency situations, and are trained on Infant, Child, and Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and bleeding control procedures to respond to emergencies
- We control vehicle and pedestrian access across our property
- We screen for prohibited items
- We use radio telecommunication, computer technology, electro-magnetic technology and operate motor vehicles across the Walt Disney World Resort
- We manage relationships with Cast Members at all levels and all lines of business to provide excellent service to our Guests and Cast
- We assess and analyze situations, collect information, and prioritize while remaining calm and maintaining confidentiality
- We perform and maintain crowd control during peak operational hours requiring prolonged standing and walking in outdoor settings during different weather conditions
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required, as well as handling cleaning chemicals and supplies
Basic Qualifications :
- A valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to maintain a Florida Security Guard License - Class D
- Must be at least 18 years of age with at least one year or more of one of the following:
- Law Enforcement or Deputy experience
- Military experience
- Loss Prevention or Plain Clothes Operatives experience
- Security Guard/Officer experience responsible for foot/bicycle/motor patrol, monitoring cameras, and/or aviation screening
- High pressure situational experience such as an Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter, Flight Attendant, or a 911 Operator
- Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Private Investigations, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, or any other Security related field
- Knowledge of the latest security screening technology.
- Experience with standard Microsoft office software programs
- Written and verbal English communication skills, including using telephone and radio
- Must be capable of standing in one location for prolonged periods of time, walk long distances for prolonged periods of time, work in a non-climate-controlled environment, outdoors and in various weather conditions, with potential full sun exposure, wind and rain, push, pull, bend, twist, kneel and lift up to 35 lbs.
- 2 and a half Weeks of Full Availability required for training for Part Time Security Candidates
- Part Time Cast Members will need to be available at least one of the following combinations for scheduling:
- Friday/Saturday plus one additional day
- Saturday/Sunday plus one additional day
- Sunday/Monday plus one additional day
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual
- Knowledge of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks & Resorts
