We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our vibrant and growing healthcare team.

We are a psychiatric practice offering medication management, psychotherapy, and TMS on an outpatient, in-network basis. We are currently looking to fill a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position in our St. Petersburg, FL location. As a growing medical practice, there is a lot of room for growth. This role will provide you the opportunity to be mentored by our Medical Director, Dr. Griffith, a board-certified Psychiatrist, who has been practicing psychiatry for 30 years. We take great pride in providing quality mental healthcare in the St. Petersburg, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Clearwater areas of Florida. We are looking for a warm and compassionate provider to join the medical provider team who believes in providing evidence-based, outcome-oriented, quality medical care to our patients.

We are looking for this Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to be primarily officing out of our St. Petersburg location, but, this person may also have the opportunity to work at alternate Dr. TMS Therapy office locations as coverage needs arise.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform initial psychiatric evaluations for new patients
• Diagnose psychiatric illnesses
• Perform medication management appointments
• Prescribe psychiatric medications, where appropriate
• Electronic prescribing
• Follow-up appointments for medication management
• Perform psychotherapy as needed during regular follow-up appointments
• Telemedicine appointments, when appropriate
• Maintain a full patient schedule
• Utilize proper medical diagnosis codes
• Consult with supervising physician and/or medical director, as needed
• Assist medical director and/or supervising physician with TMS mappings for patients
• Complete case management duties and/or case management requests
• Obtain patient vitals
• Complete all medical documentation and other ad hoc documentation on daily basis
• Intra-day communication with support staff when questions arise regarding patient care
• Complete annual continuing education requirements
• Continually strive to keep updated on clinical knowledge and skills through consultation, formal and informal education, review of specialty-specific updated medical and pharmacologic literature for the benefit of patients under your direct care
• Participate in clinical and medical meetings, as needed when approved by management
• Follow all licensing and joint commission requirements

Job Requirements:

• Masters or doctorate degree from an Accredited Registered Nursing Graduate School (Required)
• Active Florida state license (Required)
• Active Florida DEA registration (Required)
• Credentialed for most insurance companies (already an approved medical provider on most insurance company panels—Required)
• Familiarity with electronic medical record software (Tebra / Kareo software experience preferred) and experience with other software applications related to the medical field preferred—such as e-prescribing software
• Passion for Psychiatry Specialty
• Warm and compassionate medical provider
• Attention to detail, precision, and quality medical care
• Looking for a team-oriented person
• Ability to utilize proper grammar, spelling, language usage, and proper etiquette in communications with patients in-person, over the telephone, via e-mail, and also in all medical documentation
• Professionalism is required always in all communications with patients
• Basic computer knowledge (Required)
• Microsoft office experience (Required)

• Outpatient: 3 years (Required)

License/Certifications:

• Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry (Graduate Degree/Certification/License)
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Pay: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience

• 8AM-6PM -- practice’s daily office hours
