Responsibilities
This individual will be a member of our Kansas City Civil Engineering team. Primary responsibilities will be serving as Project Manager and working with a group of engineers and CAD Technicians on a variety of site and land development projects for many markets including healthcare, commercial, industrial, education, sports, entertainment, residential, and federal. Project elements include site layout, grading, parking, stormwater drainage systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, stormwater detention, stormwater treatment, public roadways, etc.
Other responsibilities include focused business development related activities and assignments, financial management of projects, and client interface. Great client service and technical capability is a must. Proactivity and initiative to meet client/end-user needs are pluses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (MS a plus)
- PE in Missouri or Kansas, or ability to be registered in Missouri/Kansas within 12 months of hire date
- 8 years relevant experience
- Experience leading the civil design efforts for site/land development projects
- Sound technical design background
- Excellent communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of U.S. design codes and standards
- Related local experience preferred.
