What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Sales Specialist position at Walter Payton Power Equipment?
Interact with internal and external customers to identify, source, and supply replacement parts for construction equipment. Individual will identify, source, and supply replacement parts for mobile cranes and other construction equipment. Maintain Parts Department policies and procedures related through daily activities. Work collectively with other team members to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, facilitating Customer Orders, Maintain Inventory, and Controlling Warehouse activities. Individual must be proficient with basic computer usage, including programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitate Parts Orders and Requests, including Sales, Service, and Procurement
- Source and Supply Parts for Internal and External Customers
- Research and Supply Quotes for Parts Requests
- Review and Approve Invoices related to Parts activities
- Maintain Customer and Supplier relations
- Expedite Back Orders for Parts and Open Sales Orders
- Create and Track Quotes for Parts and Service Depts.
- Organize and Maintain Filing Systems
- Pursue new Business Opportunities through Customer Phone Calls and Site Visits
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
- Parts experience or Construction Equipment experience required
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills required, along with an outgoing personality.
- Ability to work collectively with other team members.
- Proficient with basic computer usage, including but not limited to, Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to work with little supervision and adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment
- Previous experience with Dealer Management Systems, such as Intellidealer CDK / PFW, or e-Emphasys Vital Edge are a plus.
Work Environment:
This is primarily an office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. May work offsite in various environments; travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
This position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, pulls, and will lift/ carry up to 25 lbs.
Experience/Training/Education:
Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Parts experience or Construction Equipment experience required
Desired: Previous Heavy Equipment parts experience
