Position Summary:
The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial and legal aspects of the vehicle sales process, ensuring all deals are compliant with regulatory requirements. The Business Manager works closely with the business office to maintain regulatory compliance in all areas of the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help manage the employees in the business office with our team of managers
- Ensure all employees are trained properly to do their jobs accurately and efficiently
- Knowledgeable in all accounting procedures including:
- Complete sales tax accounting and reporting
- Financial statement preparation and accuracy
- Dealer bank reserve reconciliations
- Knowledge of all flooring requirements and processes
- Knowledge of Incentive / Rebate reconciliation
- Able to analyze and clean schedules
- Unclaimed property processing
- Knowledge of 8300 recording and process
- Participate in ongoing training and development
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Business Manager or Office Manager in a dealership setting
- Strong knowledge of automotive finance, leasing, and aftermarket products
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Familiarity with DMS systems (e.g., CDK, Advent) and lender portals
- Strong attention to detail and compliance standards
- California DMV knowledge
