Bachelors degree in management, human resources or related field, minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably as a an HR Manager in an automotive organization. You will need comprehensive knowledge of HR practices and principles, and all applicable employment law, pay, benefits, health, and safety laws and regulations will be keys to success. Will be responsible for developing, implementing, and regularly updating personnel policies and procedures, ensuring that company complies with all the relevant federal and state labor laws, overseeing and administering benefits programs, managing, recruiting and new hire process, organizing new hire orientations, training, and reviews. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate charges of discrimination and/or handle employee relations issues including counseling employees, managers and others. Prepare and administer corrective action letters and handle terminations as necessary
- Respond to administrative claims of discrimination. Attend mediation hearings, unemployment hearings before administrative law judge
- Review macro organization problems and develop organization plans to resolve systemic group behavioral issues
- Create and maintain a professional and cohesive work environment focused on respect, performance, quality, achievement, and ethics
- Effectively coach, counsel, and develop staff. Utilize the diverse talents of the staff by efficiently managing staffs time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company
- Support/lead other Human Resources projects as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- At least five years of directly related experience in employment and employee relations
- Management experience
- Thorough experience in all areas of human resources with ability to recruit, prepare job offers, understand and administer policy within relevant laws and make credible effective appearance at administrative hearings

- Excel, PowerPoint, Word, ADP PC payroll helpful
