Walter Surface Technologies (“Walter”) is a privately held industrial manufacturer. Our products are sold in the United States, Canada, Brazil and Mexico. The international head office is located in Montreal, Quebec. Walter's principal investor and shareholder is Onex Corporation through ONCAP. Onex is one of Canada's leading private equity firms. Walter is a company undergoing great change, having recently completed the acquisition of several businesses and with an aggressive growth strategy. The ideal candidate will be a change agent, willing to suggest process improvements and make maximum use of the system's capabilities.
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the technician is responsible for accounts receivable, collection, and other related tasks for Canada and the United States.
Main responsibilities:
- Process and record incoming payments in a timely manner.
- Verify and reconcile invoices and payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment issues.
- Manage credit requests, including communication with sales and customer services.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Performs all other related tasks.
Please note that the majority of the above responsibilities must be performed for both Canada and the United States.

Education & Experience :
- College diploma in accounting or other relevant education.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of Excel, easy to learn software and systems.
- Experience with ERPs
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in French and English for internal resource management and international interactions.
