We are currently interviewing for a Folder / Cutter Machine Operator. Candidates must have 2 years of Bindery Folder/Coater Machine Operator experience. About the Job
This position is not only responsible for production and inspection of all finishing work, but also verifying that such work meets customer and Walton Press requirements and quality standards.
Essential Functions (tasks, duties, responsibilities most important to the success of the job):
· Perform job responsibilities in a safe work environment
- Regularly communicate with various levels of staff and Managers
- Schedule and prioritize job responsibilities to achieve on-time completion
- Foster a team atmosphere and build positive relationships both internally and externally
- Schedule workflow to achieve manufacturing deadlines.
- Inspect product for compliance specifications
- Produce quality jobs with maximum efficiency and minimum waste
- Monitor production activity and production speeds to meet and exceed the set efficiency goals and set quality standards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (specific minimum competencies required for successful job performance):
- Knowledge of MBO Folder and Kompac Coater
- Ability to read and understand job tickets, work order specifications, and production equipment
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Work successfully in both a team environment and independently
- Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle a fast-pace environment with changing demands and competing priorities
Minimum Qualifications (minimum level of education and experience required to perform the job):
- Preferred 1 year Folder and Coater experience
· While we are always looking to add experienced operators, we WILL TRAIN the right candidate if he or she has at least one year of manufacturing experience while also possessing mechanical aptitude.
- High school education or equivalent
