Walton Press, located in Monroe, Georgia, is a Commercial Printing Company offering high quality printing in both heat-set and cold-set processes. Job Title: Warehouse Production Operator Associate
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Moving skids in and out of work area, using pallet jack/electric pallet jack/forklift.
· Bind product with strap or string tie manually or with foot pedal/hand operated machine.
- Stack product on a pallet constant bending and stooping required.
- Palletize finished products at a pace determined by the associated machine; observe product to ensure
compliance with quality specifications.
- Make sure that the correct skid tags are placed on the skid and product counted correctly.
- Check product for proper quality characteristics- trim, ink, etc.
- Clean area/ when the machine is down or in make-ready.
- Work on rejects if needed.
- Set up Stacker with new job requirements.
- Transport the product to staging.
- Observe all safety practices, report unguarded/unsafe equipment and all unsafe work practices.
- Other assignments as given by the supervisor or management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to write, speak, read, and comprehend basic written and verbal instructions in English.
- Effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated attention to detail & thoroughness.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Ability to stand and/or walk up to 12 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.25 per hour
