Waltonen Engineering is seeking a CAD Detailer to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Report to Waltonen Design Leader
- Utilize Creo to complete part drawings, including the creation of detailed drawings
- Analyze disassembled parts of military vehicles to create accurate digital twins
- Establish design for new products and improvements to parts
- Complete design calculations within predefined design standards
- Make drawing revisions to reflect how tools have been modified
- Collaborate with program managers, designers, and engineers on project requirements
Qualifications
- Exposure to Creo 3D CAD software is a must
- Must be a United States citizen
- Intermediate mechanical drafting skills
- Ability to solve complex problems
- Oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with superiors, peers, and subordinates
- Individual time management skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work a full-time schedule, including overtime hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Vehicle Design, Product Development, or related degree
- Experience with NX software
- Familiarity with Teamcenter is a plus
- Understanding of materials and their usage, and various manufacturing operations and processes
- Comprehensive math background
- Experience in reverse engineering and creating digital twins
- Knowledge of military vehicle components and systems
