Immediate opening! We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Pawn Broker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and purchasing a variety of items from customers, providing loans against personal property, and maintaining a well-organized inventory. As a Pawn Broker, you will play a crucial role in facilitating transactions while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.

Duties

• Assess the value of items brought in by customers for pawn or sale, utilizing expertise in various products.
• Conduct transactions accurately while handling cash and operating the cash register.
• Supervise daily operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Maintain an organized stock of inventory, including proper labeling and storage of items.
• Communicate effectively with customers to provide information about products, services, and policies.
• Promote sales through effective upselling techniques and product demonstrations.
• Utilize retail math skills to calculate loan amounts, interest rates, and payment schedules.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for both staff and customers.

Skills

• Proficient in cash handling with experience operating cash registers.
• Strong supervisory skills to manage team dynamics and ensure operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and provide exceptional service.
• Sales experience with a focus on upselling products and services effectively.
• Knowledge of stock management practices to maintain an organized inventory system.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in accurate financial transactions.
• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is advantageous.
• Ability to perform product demos that engage customers and enhance sales opportunities.
