This person will also manage our household to ensure a smooth and efficient environment. We value hard work and creativity for our children and household.
Job Summary:
The Private Nanny & Household Manager will be responsible for providing attentive and engaging childcare while simultaneously managing the day-to-day operations of our home. This dual role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both childcare and household management, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Childcare:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for Jewel and Josie, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including educational play, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and reading. NO electronics
- Assist with homework, projects, and other school-related tasks.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child/children.
- Transport children to and from school, activities, and appointments (must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation).
- Maintain a clean and organized play area and children's rooms.
- Assist with laundry and organization of belongings.
- Implement and maintain a consistent and positive discipline approach as directed by parents.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children's day, any concerns, and developmental milestones.
Household Management:
- Maintain a clean and organized home, including general tidying, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
- Manage laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothes and linens.
- Plan and prepare family meals, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Run errands, including grocery shopping, dry cleaning pickup, and other household tasks.
- Organize and maintain household supplies and inventory, notifying parents when items need to be replenished.
- Coordinate household maintenance and repairs, scheduling appointments with service providers as needed.
- Manage the family calendar, including appointments, activities, and events.
- Assist with pet care (if applicable), such as feeding, walking, and scheduling vet appointments.
- Organize and declutter various areas of the home as needed.
- Handle light administrative tasks, such as managing mail and answering phone calls.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a nanny and/or household manager, with verifiable references.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Experience with meal planning and preparation for families.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
