Job Summary
Wandel Contractors Inc. is a local established family-owned business in Brookfield, Wisconsin. We provide Heavy Highway Construction services that include but are not limited to: Grading, Concrete, Excavation and Trucking. We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
Responsibilities
· Applicant must have 3 years of experience Finishing.
· Valid Driver’s License, satisfactory driving record is required prior to hire. Able to obtain CDL.
· Able to work varied hours including nights, mornings and weekends as needed.
· Able to work in all types of weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments.
· Must be punctual, dependable, and hard working.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Must be knowledgeable of State specs and proficient in math.
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and measurements.
· Review project plans and location of concrete pours.
· Gather, inspect and repair equipment in the field when needed.
· Install rebar and concrete forms.
· Knowledge of using trowels and vibrating screeds to smooth fresh concrete.
· Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with proper PPE when in the field.
· Member of a local trade union or willingness to become part of a union is required.
Skills
- Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques, including leveling, smoothing, and texturing.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices and blueprint reading skills.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with construction work.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining focus on individual responsibilities.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
