Job Title: Pet Sitter/Dog Walker (Independent Role)
Job Description:
At Wandering Wags, LLC, we are passionate about providing exceptional pet care to families in the Butler County area. As a locally owned and operated business, we pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners, offering reliable, compassionate care that sets us apart. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pet Sitter/Dog Walker to join us in delivering this high level of service.
This role is more than just a job—finding the right candidate is crucial to maintaining the trust and care our clients expect. You will have the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a team that values professionalism, reliability, and a love for animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel between client homes in the Butler and Renfrew area, spending 30 minutes to 1 hour at each location providing services such as dog walking, feeding, and companionship. Driving between homes will be a significant part of your day.
- Use Time to Pet, our industry-leading scheduling and communication software, to manage your assignments, update clients in real-time, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and pets.
- Provide your own basic tools (e.g., leashes, waste bags), though most clients will supply pet-specific items like food and harnesses.
- Follow client-specific instructions to ensure each pet's unique needs are met.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience working with animals is strongly preferred (e.g., pet sitting, dog walking, or shelter experience).
- Reliable transportation is essential, as this role requires driving between multiple homes throughout the day.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and communicate effectively through our Time to Pet app.
- Reside in or near the Butler/Renfrew area.
- A passion for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
Why Partner with Wandering Wags?
- We are a fully bonded and insured company, trusted by families throughout Butler County for our professionalism and personalized service.
- We prioritize the well-being of our contractors by fostering clear communication, providing access to industry-leading tools, and offering a supportive, team-oriented environment.
- This role offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule while enjoying the fulfillment of working with animals every day.
Please note: This is an independent contractor position, not an employment opportunity. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and expenses.
