Job Overview
We are a local wildlife and pest control company seeking a dedicated and experienced Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pest control methods, as well as experience with various tools and equipment used in the industry. Your expertise will help ensure a safe and pest-free environment for our clients.
This position is for a residential pest control route. It will require a willingness to connect with and maintain customer accounts. It will also require a willingness to learn trapping of rodents, squirrels, raccoons, moles, and other wildlife.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and assess the extent of the problem.
- Develop and implement effective pest control strategies tailored to each client's needs.
- Utilize various pest control methods, including chemical treatments, traps, and exclusion techniques.
- Operate machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about treatment plans and preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including products used and recommendations made.
- Stay informed about the latest pest control technologies, regulations, and safety practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience in pest control or a related field is required.
- Strong sales skills to effectively communicate the benefits of services offered to potential clients.
- Ability to drive company vehicles safely to various job sites.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
- Wildlife control experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
