Duties And Responsibilities
- Implementation of lean and 5S principles; create and drive KPI improvement plan based around OEE
- Provide engineering support for maintenance, E-coat/powder coat processes
- Operations support: process documentation, equipment maintenance, operator / setup training including creation of work instructions
- Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation: PM, process flow, PFMEA and control plans, operator / setup work instructions, drawings, engineering change requests, etc.
- Generating and implementing cost savings opportunities; including scrap reduction, process optimizations and OEE improvements
- Leading projects (i.e., capital expenditures, cost reduction, new product, etc...)
- Monitor/audit critical systems
- Other duties as assigned
- BS degree in Engineering / Technology or 10 years equivalent experience
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the company
- Fluent with CAD software 2D/3D, prefer SolidWorks experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Time/project management

- Self-motivated
- 3 years of related experience in manufacturing environment (preferably metal working – machining, welding, forming, automation, material handling, coating)
- Fabrication, Welding, Robotics, CMM operation, CNC programming, Assembly a plus
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical or food industry a plus
- Effective planning/organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and set up priorities
- CMMS experience, Wanzl uses Limble CMMS
