What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHILD CARE position at Wapakoneta Family YMCA?
General Description: This position is under the supervision of the Director of the Wapakoneta Family YMCA Child Development Center. Staff are responsible for the supervision and safety of all children under your care. Teachers/Staff are responsible for planing and carrying out lessons, activities, parent communication in the form of Class Dojo and newsletters, snack time, assessments, parent-teacher conferences, maintaining records and portfolios, being compliant with mandated ratios and ODJFS standards and Center policies. Teachers/Staff are required to sign children in and out daily and engage them in a positive and meaningful way.
General Qualifications: The Child Development staff must possess the skills necessary for the day-to-day operations of the program. The candidate must be professional. The incumbent must have good member service skills. The incumbent must receive and maintain Child Abuse, Blood Borne Pathogen, CPR/AED, First Aid and Communicable Disease trainings. The incumbent must attend any/all other trainings and staff meetings. Finally the incumbent must also adhere to all licensing rules.
