We are seeking a board-certified physician to provide emergency department coverage in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About the Role
- This is a unique opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Wapiti Medical Staffing, providing high-quality patient care and expertise in emergency medicine.
Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will have 12 hour shifts with a main need for night shifts (8p-8a), with some day shifts possible. APP double coverage from 10a-10 p is also required.
Facility Details
- The facility has an annual ED volume of 17K patients, utilizing the Cerner/Meditech EMR system.
- Credentialing timelines typically range from 6-8 weeks.
Requirements
- Iowa medical licensure and DEA/CSA certification are mandatory. Board certification in EM is also required.
- The ideal candidate will possess life support certifications, including ATLS, ACLS, and PALS (waived for ABEM/AOBEM physicians).
- Mandatory Reporter Training of dependent adult & child abuse (MRT) is a requirement, as well as Covid/Flu vaccinations, which may be exempted under certain circumstances.
