What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Direct Support Professional position at WAR Ministry Corporation?
WAR Ministry Corporation is seeking Direct Support Professionals experienced working with youth 20 years and younger to work providing in home and in community support services to children and young adults with developmental disabilities. Services will be delivered one-on-one in the home or community based setting.
Other essential responsibilities include:
- implement support plans for ADL skill acquisition
- Completes paperwork, including individual progress notes, and time sheets
- Assisting families with community based activities
To be considered for this position:
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Must have high school diploma; associate degree or bachelor degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or related field preferred
- Must be willing and able to attend required trainings
- Must have a valid driver’s license and Abstract (not to exceed 5 points)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass required criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be able to obtain medical clearance in order to provide services
- Must be CPR certified
**Primarily after-school hours available (3pm to 9pm)
***MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST
Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) encouraged to apply. Driver’s License/Abstract (not to exceed 5 points) required and CPR/First Aid Certification required. Must be able to pass criminal background check.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
